How Do I Set Up the Loopio HubSpot Integration?

Installing the Loopio HubSpot Integration

 

Permissions Required: You must be signed into HubSpot with permissions as Super Admin or at least have the Account > App Marketplace Access permission. For more details see:

  1. Click this link to start installing the integration

  2. Select a HubSpot Portal where you want to install the HubSpot Integration

    If you only have access to a single HubSpot portal you will not be asked to select one
     

    Tip: You can install this integration multiple times if you wish to add it to your Sandbox and Production accounts.

  3. Review the permissions requested and click Connect App

The integration is now installed in your HubSpot Portal. Your browser will be redirected to the Settings Integrations Connected Apps screen in your HubSpot Portal to complete the following steps.

Connect HubSpot to your Loopio Account

Create an API Key in Loopio

 

Permissions Required: The General Admin: Manage Integrations permission is needed to create an API key in Loopio.

In Loopio you need to create an App for the HubSpot Integration, as an API Key and Secret need to be generated in order to connect HubSpot to Loopio.

  1. Go to the Admin screen, then click on Integrations

  2. Scroll down to 'For Developers', and click Add an App

  3. Enter a name for the App eg. ‘HubSpot Integration’

    Warning: Ensure the required permission scopes are toggled on before saving. If the correct settings are not saved, a new App with a new unique name must be created.

  4. Toggle on the following Permission scopes:
    • customProjectField:read
    • mergeVariable:read
    • project:read
    • project:write
    • role:read
    • user:read

  5. Ensure your permissions look the same as this image above and click Save

You now have an API Key and Secret that can be used to connect to HubSpot.

 

Note: The API Key is unique to you. Do not share or distribute the API Key and Secret. Please also keep in mind that the Secret is shown only once, so please save this once it's been created.

Connect the Loopio App in HubSpot

  1. In your HubSpot Settings Integrations Connected Apps screen, click the Loopio HubSpot Integration to access the app settings screen

  2. On the Loopio HubSpot Integration settings screen, click Connect to Loopio

  3. Paste your Loopio App Key, Secret, and Loopio Domain and press Connect
     

    Note: When entering your Loopio domain, do not include https:// - for example:

         ✅ CORRECT format = customername.loopio.com 

         ⛔️ INCORRECT format = https://customername.loopio.com/

  4. A brief message "Successfully updated, you can close this window" will appear and you may then close the displayed window

Your HubSpot is now connected to your Loopio account!

Note: If you are using HubSpot Sales Hub Enterprise, you can control who can see the Loopio CRM Card.
