An existing Loopio Project can be connected to a Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity through a process known as backlinking.
There are two ways to backlink a Project to a Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity:
Backlinking on the Projects Page
- Navigate to Microsoft Dynamics and copy the URL of the Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity from your web browser
- Then navigate to the Projects List in Loopio, and select the Project Actions icon (⋯) for the Project you would like to connect
- Click Link to Microsoft Dynamics
- Paste the URL of the Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity in the pop-up URL or ID field
- Click Enter
- A confirmation modal will appear, informing you that the Project has been linked to the Dynamics Opportunity. You can choose to click OK to continue working in Loopio,or click the 'here' link to go to the linked Opportunity
Once linked, you can then access the Dynamics Opportunity from the Loopio Project List page by selecting the Project Actions icon (⋯) on the Project, and clicking Go to Microsoft Dynamics
Backlinking within a Specific Project
To backlink directly within your Project.
- Navigate to Microsoft Dynamics and copy the URL of the Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity from your web browser
- Navigate to the specific Loopio Project you would like to backlink
- Click the Dynamics Icon
- Paste the URL of the Microsoft Dynamics Opportunity
- Click Link
Tip: All Dynamics Users with access to the Opportunity will be able to view the Project Progress in Dynamics, but only those with the permissions required to access that Project within Loopio will be able to use the (View in Loopio) link to view the Project directly in Loopio.
