How Do I Connect the Public Websites Connector (v2)?

With Loopio's Public Website Connector v2, easily respond with content from both your Loopio Library and your public website content, allowing you to automate responses to even more of your questionnaires.

Connecting Loopio with Your Websites

 

Permissions Required: The General Admin: Manage Integrations permission or full Administrator Role is required to connect a public website to Loopio.

  1. Click Admin in the top navigation
  2. Select Platform Settings
  3. Click Integrations
  4. Scroll to the Content Connectors section
  5. Click Enable on the Public Websites tile

  6. Add a Name and URL for your website
  7. Click Connect Website to begin indexing

Loopio crawls each site in the background; monitor progress under Admin > Integrations > Public Websites. Once a site finishes indexing, it becomes available as a source in Automated Answers.

 

Important: 

  • Add up to 10 URLs
  • Up to 500 pages are indexed per URL, at a crawl depth of 3
  • Only publicly accessible pages can be crawled; login-protected or gated pages are not indexed
  • If you previously used v1 of the website Connector, you may see 2 Website Connector tiles. See our guide How Do I Upgrade the Public Websites Connector from v1 to v2?

Keeping Your Content Current

Configured websites are automatically re-indexed every 7 days. If you've made significant updates to a website, use the Resync button in Admin > Integrations > Public Websites to refresh the index immediately rather than waiting for the weekly schedule. Resync is available up to once per URL per 24-hour window.

Grant Users Permission to Use Public Websites as a Content Source

 

Permissions Required: The General Admin: Manage Roles & Permissions permission is required to add a permission to a Role.

  1. Click Admin in the top navigation
  2. Select User Management
  3. Click Roles & Permissions
  4. Click Manage Roles & Permissions
  5. Click Customize Permissions beside a Role that should have access to use Public Websites as an information source
  6. Enable the permissions Generate & Edit Answers with AI and Can use Websites
