The Loopio MCP Server connects Claude to your Loopio account. You can search your approved Library content, review and create response projects, and update answers without leaving Claude. Loopio hosts the server, and you sign in with your own Loopio credentials.
Release stage: [Preview, confirm label]
Requirements
- Active Loopio account: You need a Loopio account you can sign in to from Claude.
- Loopio enablement: The MCP server is enabled per organization by Loopio. Ask your Loopio Customer Success Manager to enable it.
- Admin approval: On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner must add the Loopio connector before members can connect.
- Region: Use the endpoint for your Loopio region (see Regional endpoints).
What you can do
After you connect Loopio, you can ask Claude to:
- Search your Loopio Library for approved answers.
- List the Loopio projects you can access, with filters.
- Review the questions in a project, including unanswered ones.
- Create a new RFx project.
- Add question entries to a project.
- Generate responses to project entries.
- Update the answer on an existing project entry.
- Create and update Loopio Library entries.
Claude can also use what it finds to draft, shorten, or compare answers, and to work alongside other connectors you have set up, such as Slack, Gmail, or Google Calendar.
Example prompts
- "Find our most recent answer on data encryption standards."
- "Which RFPs are due in the next 48 hours, and what is the completion percentage?"
- "Find the unanswered questions in the Acme Corp RFP project."
- "Create a new project called 'Acme Corp RFP 2026' with a deadline of June 15."
- "Draft a response to 'Describe your approach to data security,' using only our Loopio library content."
- "Review these Library entries against our latest security policy and flag anything outdated."

Loopio always applies your existing permissions, including Stack-level and business-unit access. Claude can only see and change what you can in Loopio. Confidential projects are not accessible through this connector.
Every write action requires Claude to show you the proposed change and get your confirmation before anything is saved. In Claude, you can also turn individual tools off or require approval for each use in the connector's settings.
Connect Loopio to Claude
You only need to connect once.
- Open Claude and go to Customize, then Connectors.
- Find Loopio and click Connect.
- Sign in with your Loopio credentials and approve the request.
- In a chat, use the + button, then Connectors, to turn Loopio on for the conversation.
If Loopio does not appear in the directory, or your organization uses the Europe region, add it as a custom connector instead: go to Customize, then Connectors, click +, choose Add custom connector, and enter your region's endpoint.
Regional endpoints
| Region | Endpoint |
| North America | https://mcp-server.loopio.com/v1/mcp |
| Europe | https://mcp-server.eu.loopio.com/v1/mcp |
Use the endpoint for your existing Loopio region. Regional endpoints are separate, and your data stays in your region.
For administrators
Allow the connector: Sign in to Claude as an Owner, go to Organization settings, then Connectors, and add Loopio. Members can then connect with their own Loopio credentials.
Block or remove the connector: In Organization settings, then Connectors, find Loopio and remove it. Members can no longer connect.
Control access in Loopio: Loopio enables the MCP server per organization, and access follows each user's existing Loopio permissions.
Security and data handling
- Authentication: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. You sign in on Loopio's login page. Your credentials are never shared with Claude. Claude receives a short-lived, signed token that Loopio verifies on every request.
- No stored credentials: The server holds no long-lived customer credentials.
- No AI model in Loopio's path: The MCP server makes no LLM calls and does not use your data for model training or any secondary purpose. Claude processes prompts and responses under your organization's agreement with Anthropic.
- Data storage: The server stores no new copy of your content. Loopio remains the system of record. For write actions, a short-lived cache (up to 2 minutes) may hold the submitted question or answer text so retried requests are not duplicated.
- Encryption: All traffic uses TLS.
- Isolation and limits: Access is scoped to your tenant, with rate limiting at the network edge and per user and tenant.
- Input and output controls: Tool inputs are validated against strict schemas, and responses return only defined fields.
- Prompt injection: Tool descriptions instruct the model to treat returned content as untrusted data, not instructions.
- Data residency: Your data stays in your Loopio region (North America or Europe).
FAQs
Does Loopio override my permissions in Claude?
No. Claude can only access content and complete actions you already have permission to use in Loopio.
Can Claude change my content without asking?
No. Every write action requires your explicit confirmation first.
Does Loopio use my data to train AI models?
No. The Loopio MCP server runs no AI model and makes no inference calls.
Why can't I connect Loopio to Claude?
Check that Loopio has enabled the MCP server for your organization, that you are using the correct regional endpoint, that you are signing in with the right Loopio account, and that your Claude admin has not blocked the connector.
Why can't Claude see a project I can open in Loopio?
Confidential projects are not available through this connector. Also check that your Loopio permissions include that project.
What happens when my session expires?
Claude refreshes your token automatically where supported. Otherwise, you are prompted to sign in again.
