How Do I Create a Loopio Project from Any Object in Salesforce?

The Loopio Salesforce Connector now supports additional Salesforce objects, providing greater flexibility in managing and linking Loopio Projects.

Configuring the Custom Salesforce Object

Step 1: Create a Lookup Field on Loopio Project Object

Create a lookup field on the Loopio Project (Loopio_Project__c) object to link it with the object where you plan to link Loopio projects. 

In the image below, a lookup field was created on the Loopio Project object that refers to My Custom Object:

Step 2. Create a button/action on your object to open the project creation form

Create a button on your object that opens the project creation form with the following values:

Step 3: Add the above created button to your object's page layout

Add the button created in the previous step to your page layout. When clicked, it should open the Loopio Project creation form.

Step 4: Create a New Loopio Project Under the SFDC Custom Object

1. Search for the New Loopio Project / Loopio Project button added in step 3. It should appear in the top-right corner beside New Opportunity. 
   
   Click the dropdown and select the button.
2. Fill in Project details in the Loopio Project Creation page that appears and click Create. Thereafter, the Project will be created in Loopio. 

Step 6: Map Custom Object Fields to Loopio Project Details

Map the custom object fields so they are visible under Loopio project details.

1. In Loopio, navigate to Admin > Project & Library Settings > Custom Project Fields
2. Select the SFDC Custom Object from the dropdown and map it to your Loopio Project Fields
   
3. Your Custom Object field should now appear in Project Details
   

Linking an Existing Loopio Project from the SFDC Custom Object

1. Select the Project Actions (⋯) to the right of the Project you would like to connect
   

2. Click Link to Salesforce

3. Select your custom object from the dropdown and add the ID or link of that object in the second field
   

4. Click Enter
