Open Collaboration empowers you to work more collaboratively with your team to drive your Project toward the finish line.
Within a Loopio Project, the Open Collaboration setting can be enabled for specific Project Sections. As a Project Collaborator or Project Admin working in a Section with Open Collaboration enabled, you can:
- jump into any question within that Section to respond, helping your team drive your Projects towards the finish line
- assign or reassign questions to different users within Loopio, empowering you to leverage the right expertise to craft winning responses
Project Administrators also have full control over which Project Participants or Teams can openly collaborate on a Project or Project section. When opening a section of a Project to Open Collaboration, there is a Share link which will allow the Share settings to be customized by selecting which individual Participants and/or Teams can collaborate on that Section.
Tip: Project Collaborators are not able to edit the Question text, delete Project Entries, reorder Project Entries, or import/export Projects. These functions are reserved for Admins even in Project Sections with Open Collaboration enabled.

How Do I Work In a Section with Open Collaboration Enabled?
As a Project Collaborator or Project Admin, you will have access to work on any Entry in a Section with Open Collaboration enabled.
You will see an icon beside the Section title indicating which Sections have Open Collaboration enabled.
To prevent duplication of work, you will see a banner indicating when an Entry is already being worked on by another Project Participant. You will not be able to work on that Entry until the other User has saved their work:
- Locate any Sections that are labeled with the blue Open Collaboration icon
- Click into the Answer field of an Entry that you would like to contribute to
- Enter your Answer and click Save
Note: To submit an Entry for Review, or mark it Complete, you will need to assign the Entry to yourself. Read how below.
How Do I Assign Or Reassign Entries In a Section with Open Collaboration Enabled?
- Locate any Sections that are labeled with the blue Open Collaboration icon
- Click the initials or photo of the Assignee and Reviewer, located at the top right corner of the Entry. If the Entry is unassigned, click the plus sign in the same location
- Select a new Assignee, Reviewer, or both. Enter a due date if required - by default this will be the Project due date
- Click Assign to assign or reassign the Entry to the selected Users
