To keep your team informed and on-task, the timing of your email notifications differs based on the type of notification being sent.
Important: To make sure you never miss an automatic notification, add communication@loopio.com to your address book.
Some notification types can be turned on or off for your whole organization by an admin, so what you see below may vary depending on your account's settings. For details, see Can I Customize How My Team is Notified About Work in Loopio?
Note: You will not receive an email notification of any items assigned to yourself.

Project Notifications
When you assign Users questions within a Project, we'll wait 15 minutes to send them an alert email. This allows us to batch their assignments within the 15-minute period together into a single email per Project, reducing email noise.
The email will also let the User know the soonest deadline for the assigned Questions.
Tip: No email notifications are sent when:
- Reassigning the Review of a Project Entry to a New User
- A Project Entry is moved from Complete to Review
- A Review of a Project Entry is reassigned - leaving a message in the Message Box will send an email
Library Review Notifications
When a User is assigned a new Review, or has an existing Review due on the next day, they'll receive a Reviews digest. This is a single email sent overnight (3:00 am Eastern Time) letting Users know what new Reviews have been initiated, what Reviews are due the next day, and what Reviews are overdue.
When a User has overdue Reviews, they will also receive a weekly reminder email. This email is sent overnight on Sundays (3:00 am Eastern Time).
Other Notifications
You'll be immediately notified by email when:
- You're invited to set up your Loopio account for the first time
- You're added to a Project
- You're Nudged by another User - a Nudge is a User-generated reminder that you have tasks to complete
Customizing Your Notifications
Some of the notification types described above can be enabled or disabled for your whole organization by an admin, while a small number of critical notifications always stay on. If you'd like to reduce the volume of email your team receives, or set different rules by channel (Email, Slack, MS Teams), talk to your Loopio Administrator(s) about adjusting these settings.
