We know how important security is to you — that’s why your Library backups are always password-protected.
Set a Custom Password for Your Library Backups
Important: Backup passwords may only contain alpha-numeric characters, underscores, and dashes.
- Click Admin in the top navigation bar
- Click on the Backups tab
- Click the gear icon
- Under the "Set a Secure Password (Optional)" heading, set a custom secure password
- Click Save
Accessing Backups Secured Using Old vs. New Passwords
Backup files secured using a Loopio-generated password (or an older custom password) will show a grey lock icon to the right of the entry. Backup files secured using the most recently set custom password will show a gold lock icon to the right of the entry:
If you have not set a custom password, your Library backups are secured using a password generated by Loopio and you will see this banner at the top of the Backups screen:
To access Library backups secured using a password generated by Loopio, please contact support@loopio.com. For security purposes, the password will be texted to you once our Support Team has received confirmation from a Loopio Administrator.
If your Library backups are secured using a custom password, you will see this banner at the top of the Backups screen. This identifies the name of the Administrator that set the custom password, as well as the date the current password was set:
To access Library backups secured using a custom password, please contact the Administrator that set up the custom password. For security purposes, this password is not stored in Loopio and cannot be retrieved by the Loopio team.
