Alternate Questions are variations of any Library Entry Question. These are used in situations where the same questions are often asked in different ways, to increase the likelihood that the correct answer will appear in your search.
For example, your original Library Entry question may be: "Where is your company located?". However, the RFP you are working on might ask "What is your address?". By creating an Alternate Question, the correct answer will still appear in searches.
To reveal your Alternate Questions, click "x Alternates" beside your original question. Alternate Questions will appear below your primary question:
How Do I Create an Alternate Question?
There are three ways to add Alternate Questions to your Library Entries.
Option 1: Add an Alternate Question to a Library Entry
Alternate Questions can be added from the Edit screen of any Library Entry. To add an Alternate Question, click "Add a variation of this question":
There are no limits to how many Alternate Questions can be added to each Library Entry.
Option 2: Add an Alternate Question while Working on a Project
Alternate questions can be added as you work on a Project.
When your Project Entry has been answered using Magic or Search, and the Question text in the Project does not match any Question text saved to the Library Entry, you will see the option to add an Alternate Question.

Option 3: Add an Alternate Question when you use Reviews from Projects
Alternate Questions can be added when you use Reviews from Projects.

Can I add an Alternate Question to a Main Library Entry in Detect Duplicates?
When an Entry is Marked to Delete, there is the option to add the duplicate’s Question text as an Alternate Question to the Main Entry.
- Mark an Entry to be deleted
- Check the option to add the Question text as an Alternate question to the Main Entry
Note: If the duplicate entry has alternate questions attached to it, the duplicate’s alternate questions will also be added to the Main Entry.
Is There a Limit to the Number of Alternate Questions a Library Entry Can Have?
There is no limit to the number of Alternate Questions on a Library Entry.
Note: Although there are no limits to the number of Alternate Questions stored within Loopio, Library Backups will only export the first 5 Alternate Questions for any given Entry.
