Once you have finished your work in a Project, you can quickly and easily Export your Project back to its Source Document, or into a Custom Document in the file format that works best for you — Word, Excel, or HTML.

Exporting to a Source Document
- Within your Project, click Export
- Select To Source Document
- If your project contains multiple Source Documents, select a document for export
- Configure any additional Export settings for images, style, and attachments

For Excel export:
- Mark Image Locations in Spreadsheet - Any inline images in the Answer text will be denoted by Image Markers that reflect the Image's filename
- Include Attachments in Zip File - All attachments in the Project, including inline images are exported into a .zip file

For Word export:
- Include Attachments in Zip File - All attachments in the Project, including inline images are exported into a .zip file
- Include Word Attachments as Appendix - All Word documents in the Project will appear in an Appendix at the end of the exported document
- Include Magnet Word Attachments Export - Word documents attached to Entries and identified as Magnet Attachments will export in line along with the Entry’s Answer text, fully editable in the Word document

For Excel export:
- Click Export.
- A yellow warning will appear to the right of any Answer location where no answer is entered in the Project:
- Any answer locations not mapped during Import can be selected by clicking into the desired cell and selecting the answer you would like to include:
- To change an answer location, click its current location, then select “Remove”
Once removed, locate your new Answer location then click and select the Answer option: - Once all answer locations are selected, click Export.
- Repeat the above steps as needed for each Source Document requiring export from the Project
Note: Unlike Word and Excel source documents, Loopio does not support exporting a source document to PDF. Please see Exporting to a Custom Document below.
Exporting to a New Document
You can export any Project to one of three formats: Word, Excel, and HTML
- Word exports can be styled using an Export Theme to help keep your Projects on-brand, or exported using your default Loopio Content Styles
- Excel exports will be styled using a standard format
- HTML exports will be styled using your default Loopio Content Styles

Exporting to a Word Document
- Within your Project, click Export
- Select To Custom Template
- Select image, style, and attachment options as needed
- You can opt-in to preview before exporting by selecting the Export Option Preview Before Export. By default, this option is not selected and you can click Export to export without previewing. Users need to select the Preview Before Export option in order to preview the project before exporting.

Upon opting in to preview, the Export button will change to Continue to Preview. Click on Continue to Preview. - Stylize the document in the preview and click Export.

Exporting to an Excel Document
- Within your Project, click Export
- Select To Other
- Select Microsoft Excel
- Select image, style, and attachment options as needed
- Click Export
Exporting to HTML
- Within your Project, click Export
- Select To Other
- Select HTML
- Select image, style, and attachment options as needed
Tip: By default, your HTML export will a zip file with your Project in HTML format, and any inline image attachments. Select "Include attachments in zip file" to export other attachment types
- Click Export
