Yes, the way you assign permissions to Loopio Roles is changing! Our advanced Roles and Permissions framework allows you to grant your team members exactly the access they need.
Why Make This Change?
We're making this change based on feedback that customers need more flexibility when permissioning in Loopio. With Loopio's Advanced Roles & Permissions, you have the power to build roles that include permissions for specific functionality, giving you granular control over your team's access.
What's Changing?
Before 2024, Loopio's Platform-wide permissions were set using levels. Each level contained a pre-bundled set of permissions. For example, the General Admin permission set included permissions ranging from managing content styles to managing users.
Beginning in March 2024, each permission level will be decoupled, allowing you to build roles with the exact permissions that your users need.
When Will I See This Change in My Loopio Account?
You’ll see these changes take place in the General Admin tab of Roles & Permissions in March 2024, and then progressively throughout the rest of the Roles & Permissions tabs over the coming months.
Are Preset Roles Available?
Coming soon, we will be providing preconfigured permission sets for common roles. When creating or modifying a role, you will have the option to use a preset role template or build your role from scratch.
Will I Need to Update My Existing Roles?
No, existing permissions will be automatically mapped into the new framework. There will be no impact to the access of your existing Loopio users.
