Project Templates allow you to leverage your Loopio Library content to create proactive sales materials, enabling you to respond to prospects without having to wait for an RFP. You can also create Templates for content that you would use over multiple RFPs, saving time and guaranteeing consistency.
Setting up a Project Template
Project Templates are managed from the Projects > Templates page. Here, you can create new Project Templates, or view and update your existing Project Templates.
How Do I Create a New Project Template?
- Click Projects in the main navigation and select Project Templates
- Click Create a New Template
- Add a Template Name (required) and Description (optional) for your template. If your account contains any Export Themes, you can make use of your Export Themes to style your Project Template.
Using an Export Theme helps you ensure exported documents are consistent, as it will limit Users who use this Template from changing its Export Theme. Any Projects created from this Project Template will be linked to the related Export Theme.
When you are done, click Create
Tip: Be sure to fill out your Project Template name and description! This information helps other Project Template Users decide whether a given template suits their needs.
How Do I Fill in a Project Template With Details?
Once you have created your Project Template, it is time to fill it in with details! Your Template will stay in draft mode, where no one will be able to access it until you publish for use.
The process of filling your Template with details is similar to working on a Project:
- Add sections, subsections, questions, and answers to your template manually, or by importing a document
Tip: Read more about importing from a Source Document.
- Run Magic or Project Search on questions to fill them with an answer from your Library.
This ensures your Template’s answers will always be linked to the Library Entry. If the Entry is updated in your Library, it will also get updated on your Template, ensuring you always have the latest and most up-to-date version
Note: Unlike the Project workspace, you cannot assign Project Template questions to other Users to answer.
How Do I Publish a Project Template?
When you’re ready, click Publish Project Template to make your new Project Template available for any Users who can create a Project.
Note: Published Project Templates cannot be edited. To edit a published Template, move it back to draft mode and make changes. Remember to publish it again when you are ready!
How Do I Use a Project Template to Create a New Project?
Once a Project Template is published, your other team members can use it to create new Projects!
To do so, simply click Create Project from Template right from the published Template screen, enter your new Project details, then click Create
Additionally, when creating a new Project, the "Create a Project" modal will prompt you to choose between using a Project Template or creating a Project from scratch.
If you are using a Project Template for your Project, enter your Project Name and details. Otherwise, you will see the regular Project creation modal.
