Note: This guide provides common steps for setting up Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) as a SAML provider for Loopio Single Sign-On (SSO). While the defaults work in many situations, please consult the ADFS documentation for any company-specific details.
Setting Up SSO with ADFS
These instructions are specific to AFDS. To activate SSO with SAML 2.0 into your Loopio account, please reach out to our Support Team and check out our general SSO set up process.
Use the following steps to set up an ADFS Relying Party Trust with Loopio.
- Open the ADFS Management console
- Click Add Relying Party Trust in the Actions pane
- Click Start on the welcome step
- Import the Loopio metadata by uploading the metadata file provided to you by the Loopio Technical Contact in ADFS
- Follow the remaining prompts from ADFS to create the Loopio-relying party trust
- Click Edit Claim Rules in the Actions pane
- Select Send LDAP Attributes as Claims for Claim rule template
- Enter a Claim rule name
- Select Active Directory for Attribute store
- Select Email Address for LDAP Attribute and select Name ID for Outgoing Claim Type
- Click Add Rule to add a Transform Claim Rule
- Select Transform an Incoming Claim for Claim rule template
- Enter a Claim rule name
- Select Email Address for Incoming claim type and Name ID for Outgoing claim type
- Select Email for Outgoing name ID format
- Double click on the new Relying Party Trust to open the properties window
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and ensure the Secure hash algorithm is set to SHA-256
When these configurations are completed you are ready to test out authentication in your Loopio account.
