Can I Move Content Between Business Units?

Yes, when using Business Units in your Loopio account, you can move content between Business Units.

 

Important: As of our June 23, 2026 release, only content created before enabling Business Units can be moved in this way. The ability to move all content between Business Units is planned for a future release.

Moving Library Stacks Between Business Units

 

Tip: You can select and move up to 1000 items of each type (Templates, Projects, and Stacks) in a single action.

 

Permissions Required: The platform-wide permission Business Units: Manage Access Business Units Migration, and the permission Manage all within Business Unit within each Business Unit, is required to move content between Business Units.

  1. Click Admin in your top navigation bar
  2. Select Business Units
  3. Click Move Business Units Content
  4. Click Stacks

  5. Select the items you want to move

     

    Note: Moving a Stack moves only that Stack; Projects that use it are selected separately.

  6. Choose the destination Business Unit
  7. Review conflicts
    • The tool checks whether anything you're moving is linked to content in a different Business Unit and lists those conflicts. You can export the conflict list to review in detail
  8. Click Yes, Move Content to proceed, or Cancel to go back and resolve conflicts
    • You can resolve conflicts first, or proceed with the move. The tool flags conflicts but does not block you
  9. Run the migration. 

The selected content is moved into the destination Business Unit.
