Availability: Pitch Agent is available only to organizations in the Pitch Agent Closed Beta. Your Loopio administrator must give you access before you can use it.
Overview
Pitch Agent is Loopio’s AI assistant for building tailored prospect pitches. It researches a prospect and recommends a strategy. It then generates three things: an outreach email, an executive summary (Word), and a pitch deck (PowerPoint) with speaker notes. All of them draw on your existing Loopio content.
If you have already created an RFP project in Loopio for a prospect, Pitch Agent pulls in that content automatically, so you don’t have to recreate the context you already have.
This article covers the Closed Beta release. Features and limitations will change as the beta progresses.
Who can access this
Two things must be true before a user can open Pitch Agent:
- Your organization is in the Closed Beta (Loopio enables this).
- The user’s role has the Access Pitch Agent permission (your Loopio admin turns this on; see Setting up access below).
Users with a Full Access role get access automatically. Every other role needs it turned on by an admin, including Loopio’s default roles.
Setting up access (for Loopio admins)
Who does this: a Loopio admin in your organization who can edit roles.
Important: Access alone isn’t enough for good results. If a user can open Pitch Agent but their role is missing the content permissions in Step 2, Pitch Agent still works, but its results are generic and not based on your content. No error message appears. Complete both steps for every role you set up.
Step 1: Give a role access to Pitch Agent
- Go to Admin → Roles & Permissions.
- Select the role your sellers use.
- Turn on Access Pitch Agent.
- Save your changes.
Step 2: Turn on the permissions Pitch Agent uses to find your content
Pitch Agent can only use content the user’s role can see. Turn on these permissions for the same role:
| Permission | Recommended setting | What happens without it |
| Automated Answers | On | Pitch Agent opens, but results are generic and not based on your content. No error is shown. |
| Stacks | At least Level 1: Read Only on every Stack you want Pitch Agent to use | Pitch Agent sees less of your Library, so results are weaker. |
| Search Projects User is Participant in | On | Pitch Agent can’t use answers from past RFP projects. |
| Search all Projects | On | Pitch Agent only uses projects the user participates in, so results are weaker. |
| View Document Library | On | Pitch Agent can’t use files in your Document Library. |
| Can use SharePoint, Can use Google Drive, and other integration permissions | On, for each integration your organization has connected | Content from that integration isn’t used. |
Step 3 (optional): Let selected users manage Pitch Agent settings
The Manage Pitch Agent permission lets a user edit your organization’s company context in Pitch Agent Settings. Company context describes what your organization does, and changes apply to everyone in your organization.
- Go to Admin → Roles & Permissions.
- Select a Power User role.
- Turn on Manage Pitch Agent.
- Save your changes.
Users without this permission can view company context but can’t edit it.
Which roles can have Pitch Agent permissions
| Role type | Access Pitch Agent | Manage Pitch Agent |
| Full Access | Included automatically | Included automatically |
| Power User | Can be turned on | Can be turned on |
| Content Contributor | Can be turned on | Not available |
| Lite User | Can be turned on | Not available |
| Agent User | Can be turned on | Not available |
| Guest, Library, and Project Contributor | Not available | Not available |
Setting up Agent roles for sellers
The Agent role type is for users who work mainly through Pitch Agent rather than the main Loopio app, such as sellers in your beta group. The Agent role type appears when you add a new role only if your organization has Agent users enabled. If you don’t see it, contact your Customer Success Manager.
An Agent role can have:
- Access Pitch Agent
- AI answer generation
- Read Only access to Stacks and the Library (no higher)
- Participation in projects they’re invited to, as a participant or collaborator (they can’t be Project Admins)
- Search Projects User is Participant in and Search all Projects
- View Document Library
Agent roles can’t have reporting or review permissions.
To set one up:
- Go to Admin → Roles & Permissions.
- Add a new role.
- Select the Agent role type.
- Turn on the permissions in Step 1 and Step 2.
- Save your changes.
After you change permissions
Permission changes take up to 1 minute to apply. If a user was blocked from Pitch Agent, ask them to refresh the page.
Removing access
To remove a user’s access, turn off Access Pitch Agent on their role, or move them to a role that doesn’t have it.
Getting started with Pitch Agent
- Open Pitch Agent from the top navigation bar in Loopio.
- When prompted, enter the name of a prospective company. .
- Confirm that the company Pitch Agent found is the right prospect.
- Upload files for more context. Supported formats: .pdf, .pptx, .txt, .md, .png, .jpg, .webp, .gif. Completed RFPs in PDF format work best.
- Review the research on the prospect’s company, news, and competitors.
- Star findings you want used. Dismiss the rest.
- Pick a suggested strategy, or guide it yourself.
- Click Generate to create your outreach email, executive summary, and deck.
- Use the chat to request changes to the outputs.
Tip: Pitch Agent’s results depend on the context you give it. The more relevant material you upload, the better the result.
Using Pitch Agent
With RFP projects in Loopio: Pitch Agent pulls in content from RFP projects you’ve already created for the prospect. This works well for building a pitch package to send with an RFP submission, or as a follow-up.
With your Library content: Pitch Agent learns what your company does from your existing Loopio answers, so it has baseline context before you upload anything.
When context is missing: Pitch Agent asks clarifying questions if it doesn’t have enough information to continue.
Quality checks: a built-in reviewer checks each draft for weak content and regenerates it before you see the result.
What’s included in this Beta release
- Learns what your company does from your existing Loopio content
- Asks clarifying questions when context is missing
- Accepts uploaded files (decks, RFPs, and other documents) as additional context
- Reviews and regenerates weak drafts automatically
Good to know
- One prospect per pitch: once you confirm a prospect, you can’t change it. Start a new pitch for a different company.
- After generating: you can refine your outputs through chat, but you can’t go back and redo the research or strategy steps.
- Keep the tab open: keep Pitch Agent open while it researches or generates. Closing the tab stops the work in progress.
- Review before sending: check every output, including the deck’s speaker notes, before you send anything to a prospect.
- Templates: outputs use a default, unstyled template.
- Company context: visible to all Pitch Agent users in Settings. Only users with Manage Pitch Agent can edit it, and changes apply to your whole organization.
- Usage: no usage limits or credit charges during the beta.

| Results are generic, with few or no sources | Ask your admin to check Automated Answers, Search Projects User is Participant in, Search all Projects, View Document Library, and your Stack access. |
