Importing from a Non-English Source Document to a Loopio Project

Note: The languages currently supported for Project Source Document translation are: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French (Canada), French (France), German, Italian, Norwegian, Portugese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish, Swedish

Enabling Translations in a Project

There are two ways to enable translation for a Project:

  • When uploading the file, select the Opt in to Loopio's translation service checkbox
  • If you did not opt in when uploading, select Translate to English in the import screen:
    • Word import

    • Excel import
      Translate to English button in Excel.png

Translating Excel Files

  1. Create a Project

  2. Upload a Source Document in one of the languages supported for translation
  3. Select the Opt in to Loopio's translation service checkbox

    Note: Once you have uploaded a Source Document in one of the supported languages, or in English, the Project will be locked to that language. To translate documents in additional languages, create a new Project.

  4. In the import window, use the View in English toggle to switch between the detected source language and English

  5. Select all required Sections, Subsections, and Questions

  6. Click Import

Translating Word Files

  1. Create a Project

  2. Upload a Source Document in one of the languages supported for translation
  3. Select the Opt in to Loopio's translation service checkbox
