When your Project includes nested questions where context and instructional information are included in different question levels, Loopio allows you to import these as Subquestions, ensuring your team has access to all the context they need to craft a winning response.
Importing Subquestions from a Word Document
When you upload and import your Word source document into Loopio, you’ll begin by first mapping all the Questions you wish to convert to Sub-Questions.

Once you’ve mapped your questions, you can identify the specific question you wish to designate as the Parent Question. Loopio will support up to four layers of Sub-Questions layering so you will be able to layer groups of Sub-Questions together.
- Select the Question you want to mark as the Parent Question
- In the left-hand panel, click Show edit options
- Select Change to Parent Question
Your Question will be highlighted with a PQ icon to designate that it is now a Parent Question - With the Parent Question still in focus on the left-hand sidebar, click on a Question you want to convert into a Sub-Question
- Select Map as Sub-Question
Tip: With Auto-Select enabled, other Sub-Questions will be automatically located and mapped, by identifying similarly formatted text. To select Sub-Questions one-by-one, disable Auto-Select.
- Select any additional Sub-Questions, nesting up to four layers
- Once all your Sub-Questions have been mapped, select Import
Working with Sub-Questions in the Project Workspace
Once your Sub-Questions have been imported into the Project Workspace, they will be identified using the Sub-Question icon:
This icon signifies that there is at least one Parent Question associated with this Sub-Question, and the number next to it signifies the number of Parent Questions.
Clicking on the icon will allow you to expand the Project Entry and see the full context associated with your Sub-Question:
By having the context in full view, you can ensure that your Project Participants have the full context needed to answer the Sub-Questions in full.
Exporting Projects with Sub-Questions
Once your Project is complete, you can export it either back to your Word Source Document or to a Custom Template.
